When you arrive at your massage session:

Thank you for choosing JBM Massage. We look forward to welcoming you and providing professional, personalised remedial massage therapy in a calm and comfortable environment.

What to Expect at JBM Massage

Once you book your appointment online, your chosen date and time will be confirmed, and you will receive a welcome message from JBM Massage. Approximately 24 hours before your appointment, you will also receive a reminder with your appointment details.

When you arrive, your massage therapist will greet you at the front door and escort you through to the assessment room. You will be given plenty of time to complete the required paperwork and provide details about your health history, current concerns, and the reason for your visit.

Please take your time there is no need to rush. We allow extended time between appointments to ensure you have a relaxed and comfortable experience from the moment you arrive, with no pressure or stress.

Following your initial assessment, your therapist will take the time to discuss your concerns, understand your treatment goals, and develop a personalised massage therapy plan with you.

Once the treatment plan has been agreed upon, you will be shown through to the massage therapy room, where a calm and relaxing environment awaits, with soft music playing in the background.

Lets discuss your choice of oils and creams that we have on offer, an added bonus for reaching out to JBM Massage. Your choice of oils and creams.

Remember, this is your massage session. Your comfort, needs and treatment goals are our priority. You are encouraged to communicate with your therapist throughout the session so your treatment can be tailored to what feels right for you.

You will be given as much time as you need to prepare and get comfortably settled on the massage table. Your therapist will knock before entering to ensure you are ready for your treatment.

Your Massage Treatment

Your session will generally begin with gentle effleurage strokes to warm the muscles and prepare the body for more specific therapeutic techniques. Depending on your individual needs, firmer pressure and techniques such as trigger point therapy may then be applied to areas of muscular tension or discomfort.

Communication throughout your treatment is encouraged. Your therapist will regularly check in to ensure the pressure and techniques being used are comfortable and appropriate for your needs.

After Your Massage

Once your massage therapy session is complete, your therapist will leave the room and allow you as much time as you need to get dressed comfortably. He will knock before returning to the room.

A post-treatment assessment will then be completed, providing an opportunity to discuss how you are feeling, what was identified during the session, and recommendations for moving forward. Where appropriate, exercises or stretches may be demonstrated for you to continue at home to support your treatment goals.

A detailed treatment report will be documented and included with your invoice. This is generally completed and emailed to you within 24 hours of your appointment.

Payment & Private Health Claims

Payment is made at the conclusion of your appointment. JBM Massage offers HICAPS, allowing eligible clients to process their private health fund claim at the clinic.

Before you leave, you will be encouraged to take some time to rest and will be offered a glass of water following your treatment.

For your convenience and ongoing wellbeing, your next appointment can also be scheduled before you leave, helping you maintain a consistent treatment plan where required.
