Welcome to JBM Massage / Remedial and Relaxtion specialist.
Plantar fasciitis massage is a targeted massage technique aimed at relieving pain and inflammation in the plantar fascia-a thick band of connective tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot, connecting your heel bone to your toes. This condition is one of the most common causes of heel and arch pain, especially for runners, people who stand a lot, or those with poor foot mechanics.
My massage techniques for Plantar Fasciitis:
1. Deep Tissue Massage
Focuses on the heel and arch of the foot.
Therapist uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of fascia and muscle.
2. Cross-Fiber Friction Massage
Involves massaging across the direction of the plantar fascia fibers.
Helps break up scar tissue and improve mobility.
3. Thumb or Knuckle Massage
The therapist uses their thumbs or knuckles to apply steady pressure along the arch of the foot.
Can be done manually or using massage tools.
